NO DEAL. Brendan Fevola is a legend at the Carlton Footy Club. He Must Be Saved. Leave Your Message of Support Below. Tell Carlton Management What You Think
Leave your message of support for The Fev or post a comment below. If the power of the Internet and twitter can make a massive organisation like Kraft to change the name of their new Vegemite product in just 4 days, we can make Carlton reconsider their decision to trade Fevola to another club.
Carlton needs a gun Full Forward like Fevola. He is a club leader and he is a true champion. We understand that Brendan has made some minor mistakes. But he has made the decision to change his ways. And his mistakes are minor in comparison to all the other great things he does on and off the field.
Anybody who knows Fevola will say that he is a top bloke. The amount of work he does off the field for people in the community goes unreported. Its time someone stood up for him.
Lets support The Fev. And lets tell Carlton that this decision to trade him is NOT ON.
Carn the Blues.

Fev is a champion and an icon of the club. He's the one we often look to for a lift in the games and he usually delivers with winning goals. He won the Coleman this year and polled 4th in the best and fairest, you can't say he doesn't do his bit on the field. He's a tough player and has a high work rate, he lays some pretty heavy tackles when he wants to. Anyone only had to look at the highlights reel of season 2009 to see some of his freaky, yeat fantastic goals which always are entertaining. He's a character of the team and someone the fans can look to.
ReplyDeleteWE NEED THE FEV. There is no other way to say this. He is our gun forward and go-to man in the 50. We don't have anyone with the talent, experinece or skill to replace him. The goal of clubs is meant to be a premiership and yet they seem to be focussed on reputation. If we want a realistic shot at the flag we need Fev, there is no question about it.
What about the controversy you ask? Look at Barry Hall, look at Ben Cousins. Cousins was a drug addict for goodness sakes!! Now Richmond have had the balls to take him on and he has done wonders for them. When Barry Hall goes to the Bulldogs there is no doubt that he will make an impact. Well what Carlton need to do is hold on to Fev while they can before this happens to them, if they let go of Fev they will regret it. He's gonna pull his head in and he'll perform and in 12 months we'll be asking ourselves why we let him go.
Yes he made a mistake, I'm not denying that. But seriously the media needs to take some responsibility. If they weren't hanging around trying to get something on the poor bloke then this wouldn't be as bad as it is. They media love it, you only had to watch the Brownlow to see it - Juddy, Gibbs or Murphy gets a vote and they shoot the camera to Fev 'cos they know he's gone and they'll get a reaction from him. They were all over him, the media needs to shoulder some of this. Since when isn't a guy allowed to go out and have a good time. This kind of thing happens all the time on weekends, blokes go out and get drunk and well it can get out of hand, well at least their lives aren't posted all over the internet and papers for all to see. How would they like it?
Brendan is a role model to kids you say? Well all kids care about is his footy, they don't care about this rubbish, leave Fev alone. He's the reason a lot of kids support the club, he's a figure people can turn to.
Sorry that was so long, but I am really passionate about Carlton and hence this issue.
Don't sack Fev, we need him.
Please see sense Carlton.
and finally, i could not stand to see Fev wearing another club's colours. it just wouldn't look right.
ReplyDeleteKEEP FEV IN NAVY BLUE!
Dick Pratt will be turning in his grave. Shame on you Sticks.
ReplyDeleteI for one wont be renewing my membership next year. This is disgusting.
ReplyDeleteCarlton you suck. We need Fevola. Who are you going to trade him for? Some old timer like you used to do? Losers.
ReplyDeleteShort-sighted and stupid. Where where the team mates holding Fev to account on the night and when is Channel nine and the Footy Show being also held accountable for even putting a camera in front of him.
ReplyDeleteSign the petition on http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/keepfev/index.html
Brendan Fevola is the heart of the Carlton Football Club.. i remember back in the days when i was a kid.. me and my dad would go to the footy and there wouldnt be to much to get excited about apart from that shag in 25 rippin em apart! we love fev and shame on u stick, ratts and swan for this dicesion!
ReplyDeleteHave you considered the fans before making such a reduculous decision????
ReplyDeleteExtremely dissapointed! I thought the fine of 10,000 was fair, but not this. Other clubs have dealt with drugs etc. This was grog served at an AFL event! Why didn't anyone intervene there and then??? Why this now? Not what the Blues fans want ..... So i guess we count for nothing? If Fev goes I will reconsider my membership for 2010....
NO WAY!!!!!!! Fev has to stay. The board has lost the plot. They think
ReplyDeletethey are running a church, not a football club. All the fans LOVE Fev,
He is the heart and soul of Carlton. We want him to stay.
Please Reconsider, this can't be happening....have you seriously thought about the fans and our view on this matter? Or have you all been drinking whilst making this decision???? Why are you punishing us? What's your message exactly? Turn back on great player who is icon to the Club because AFL offered too much drink when WE already knew he had a problem!!!
ReplyDeleteLicciardi's Family of five ..... about to buy family membership for 2010
cmon we need fev without him we are screwed Soon SAVE FEV he is the best goal kicker in carlton he may of had a few drinks at the brownlow but does that have any thing to do with carlto sooo SAVE FEV
ReplyDeletePlease please please keep fevola, okay we know he was acting stupidly while drunk at the brownlow but please dont punish him or actually punish the carlton supporters by trading him..Everyone keep the " save fev " wagon going..
ReplyDeleteIdiots !
ReplyDeleteWe are trying to win premierships, not win moral battles against alchohal.
Keep Fev or lose the fans
What's the point of having a magnificent midfield, without having a forward who can kick goals?!?
ReplyDeleteRobert
i hate u brett ratten and stix.
ReplyDeletefev is carlton and carlton is where he's playing in 2010!
fev is one of the best full forwards in the game. he just won the coleman medal for crying out loud. why would you want to trade him?? carlton have got an amazing side at the moment and in the next couple of years can really push to win the flag but how can they do that without fev?? the midfielders are some of the best game with gibbs, judd ect but who is going to kick the goals without fev? you need goals to win the game. sure he has made some mistakes but to trade him is way over the top and not fear.
ReplyDeleteYou people are crackpots and have no idea of what it takes to create a winning culture. No player is bigger than the club and Fevola has been holding this club back for years.
ReplyDeleteCya Fev thanks for the memories.
Next!!!!!!
My kids are gutted after this....their rooms are filled with Carlton gear with photos of themselves with Fev, their favourte player.
ReplyDeleteA very sad day indeed.
Rob
we the supporters demand that fev stays on. maybe it should be you that takes a walk sticks. remember its the supporters that keep the club going not the high honcho,s on the communitee. no supporters no football club. i for 1 will not be renewing my membership for 2010. who will be responsible for that you sticks that now our membership will drop ? who else can kick 80 -100 goals for us. there is no one else in the afl that can replace fevola
ReplyDeleteThe decision made by the Carlton Administrator is one of the worst in the clubs history. I'm sure if Dick were still around, that this wouldnt be happening. What a great way to honour the man who saved our club, by sacking one of the best forwards the club has ever seen and a man that Pratt loved.
ReplyDeleteHow about our illustrious Captain, I heard he had one of the final words in this decision? If that is the case, go back to Perth Judd and practice on the bunnies up there.
Yes Fev is an idiot and made a mistake and he is responsible for his own behaviour - however, he was at a "work" fuction and his captain, coach, board members and team mates were in attendance and as such they are also responsible. As so are the people at Channel Nine who gave him the microphone and put him in front of a camera and then left him on his own when the shit hit the fan. Fev has now put his hand up and said that he has a problem and what is Carlton's answer - TRADE HIM. What a joke - someone asks for help and they say no - what message is that sending. I attended the Best and Fairest on Monday night and 1500 people voiced their opinion every time Fev's name was mentioned. The only thing the board are accomplishing is splitting the Carlton Football Club and this is something that has taken years to rebuild. If they trade Fev they will set back to club's on field success by 3-5 years and who knows what damage they will do to the club as a whole.
ReplyDeleteHere Here Stacey!
ReplyDeleteI was also in attendance on Monday night and the support for Fevola over shadowed the support for any other player at that club.
Also, if Fev is not at the club next year, Monday night will be the last B & F I will attend.
We can't let this happen. I'm devastated.
ReplyDeleteFEV Must stay if we want to make 2010 finals..
ReplyDeleteHe has won us heaps of games off his own boot and kicks 70% of our goals. I couldnt stand watching him in a collingwood, hawthorn or st kilda jumper next year! Shame on you STICKS!!
If Prat was still alive, you would be the one packing!!!
What are you thinking Ratten & Sticks!
ReplyDeleteFev has been out foward line for the past 10 years. No fev No Carlton! And you can stick my membership in your A*se!!
You also lost us the Brisbane game Rats for taking Judd off the grownd when Brisbane kicked 3 quick goals. Leave him in the fowarld line like Bommer does to Ablett when he needs a rest. You cant coach for shit & you want to fu*k off fev!
TEENY BOPPER'S UNITE. What a bunch of dummies you all are.
ReplyDeleteGuys, we can't give the opposition the best forward in the Comp. What are you thinking? Come on!
ReplyDeleteEveryone keeps saying the player isn't bigger than the club. That's the problem here. Fev isn't bigger than the club and everyone should know that. But a club who makes this kind of decision that most supporters can't see as a good one, is really ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteSo if this goes ahead, I'm going to find it pretty difficult to support my team which is sad considering I was hoping to be a member for a really long time.
Fev deserves to be punished, and his problem needs to be addressed. How can they think that trading him to someone else is the answer?
It wouldn't be surprising if Carlton really loses out because of this.
Putting this level of symbolism ahead of common sense and success is ludicrous. It's another dark day for the club.
ReplyDeleteafter all the support the fans showed Fev at the best and fairest - how can you do this to us? Fev is a champion of the sport and will continue to be the best forward in the league in which ever club he joins. How can you ever justify letting him go? it's insane.
ReplyDeleteFev is a true blue, yes he did wrong but he is only human, It wouldn't be right for him to wear different colours give the guy a go he is a great player and great asset to the carlton football club it would be a great loss.
ReplyDeleteSAVE FEV! getting rid of fevola is the stupidest thing carlton have ever done! without him who knows what will happen! we will probably never see another a blues premiership now! this is just ridiculous!
ReplyDeletethere goes half our members! this is absolutely ridiculous! think of all the bad forward lines in the afl and then think of ours without fev, im pretty sure it has to be the worst! yes he did the wrong thing, he got drunk yeah, he didnt kill anyone..carlton have it all wrong. i am disgusted.
ReplyDeletei cant believe this. its devastating! my brothers have fevs pictures all over their wall, they have a million of his badges and pictures with him and signatures from him. every kid that goes for carlton will be devastated, what a way to loose all your supporters, and members! the club will never be the same, its like taking 10 steps back. and now if the trade doesnt work out, he may not want to stay because sticks wanted him out. LET FEV STAY!
ReplyDeleteHey this is an online petition - we should all sign and even flood the membership department at carlton with emails
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ipetitions.com/petition/keepfev/index.html
FEV MUST STAY WHERE HE BELONGS - AT CARLTON!
At 28 he is too old to keep on the hope that we will win a premiership, let him go and if he has success with another club then good luck. How can he look the captain in the eye and how can Juddy respect him after that indecent.. He has gotta go... Sticks Fan..
ReplyDeleteCarlton has done the right thing. This isn't the first time Fev has had too much of the fun juice and been an idiot. The club would have done everything in their power to help him but when you are a member of the leadership group, a major marketing tool and all round person who people look up to, enough is enough.
ReplyDeleteThis is a save Bredan Fevola page - where is the moderator denying all the bleating "I love you Sticks" supporters - go and post on your own page - this is a Keep Fev page!! For me quite frankly they will never ever get my membership again if Fev is traded on the back of this nonsense.
ReplyDeleteHelp keep Fev send your message of disgust to membership@carltonfc.com.au - utter bullshit action by the board!
ReplyDeleteWE NEED FEV! No matter how much of a stupid mistake he made, so what if the man gets drunk one night out of a bloody year! I've been a Carlton Supporter since I was born! And to get rid of Fev you must be out of your mind! he's kicked 575 goals out of all the season hes been at Carlton! And to get rid of him we would win the wooden spoon once again. Without Fev kicking the goals we wouldn't of won the games we played this year! It's basically giving a message to young people saying that if you get drunk and make a mistake you get badly punished for it. It's a mistake, everybody makes mistakes! We think that the Carlton Football Club should forget about it, we've given Fev a lot of chances but maybe we should give him one more! If Calrton get rid of Fev they'd be saying goodbye to ALOT of members because the main people in Carton Football Club is Chris Judd, And Fev. If Judd had a drinking problem they wouldn't get rid of Judd ? Because he's one of Calrtons best players and so is fev! But sure if you wanna be at the bottom of the ladder and win the wooden spoon yet again trade fev and lose most of your members! Because everybody loves Fev and doesnt want to see him wear different colours because he's a Carlton boy and hopefully always will be!
ReplyDeleteCome on Blues!
ReplyDeleteThis has got way way out of proportion. The grossly inflated media coverage has spooked our people into behaving rashly. We're just dancing to the media's tune, and it's far more embarrassing than anything Fev did.
Fev behaved very poorly and embarrassed the club - so discipline him. But by dumping him we're throwing the baby out with the bathwater!
He's the best FF we've had since Jezza played up forward, and he's the Carlton player most feared by the opposing teams.
By dumping Fev we would be shooting ourselves in the foot for the next season or two as there is no clear replacement in sight.
And NO WAY do we want to see him playing in another jumper. No way, Fev must retire a Carlton player!!
Come on Blues, get real, get a grip, keep Fev at Carlton!
Getting pissed and being a loud bogan is not grounds for trading even if he is a serial offender in this regard. I hope the Blues are only trying to shake him up with this!
ReplyDeleteNo Fev No Membership for me in 2010.
ReplyDeleteWhat did he do that was so bad anyway? He's been good in all games this year and was just letting his hair down.
If we want a premiership, then Fev must stay. Trading Fev will set us back 5 years. Send Fev to alcoholics anonymous if you have just dont trade him. Come on Sticks, please keep him
ReplyDeleteCome on Carlton we need Fev if we are to be a top 4 threat KEEP HIM!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy lil bro woke up at 2am last night crying because of the the Fev trade.
ReplyDeleteHe is our best and most important player.
We are meant to be about winning games not loosing them.
KEEP FEV. HE IS CARLTON!!
NO FEV NO CARLTON
ReplyDeleteNO FEV NOT BECOMING A MEMBER
Hey save him he is awesome and with out him it would suck. Come on =[ keep him pleaseee
ReplyDeleteI can just see fev booting 10 for the pies against our skinny backline! I won't to throw up at the thought of him playing for someone else and we would be paying him to do it!. He's not committed a crime. Bloody Hurley belted an innocent cabby and tried to fare evade - that all gets hushed over. Blues you are part to blame cos you did not deal with him in his early days so now you have to help him help us and keep him. You can choose your mates but not your family. C'mon Blues keep FEV
ReplyDeleteDiehard Carlton supporter here.
ReplyDeleteThe full story is yet to come out, and when it does, you'll see why this is happening. His teammates no longer desire to play alongside him for very good reasons.
The club is bigger than the individual. ALWAYS.
Who could POSSIBLY be good enough for Fev?! We NEED him!! If you trade him for someone's draft picks, they'll probably be on the rookie list for sometime, never come up and have a gam. Come on Carlton! Think about it! How did we get to where we are? With Fev's help!
ReplyDeleteNonsense - if it was a big story we should have been told already. Now they will do one of two things (a) they will realise that members will leave Carlton by the droves next year so they will make up a story about Fev coming back, or (b) they will beat up a story to make us think they are doing the right thing. If they do the first I can live with the board again, if they do the second they have just treated us as mugs - if there was a story worth his being dropped (not the rubbish that they have portrayed so far) then they should have told us already. Either way Sticks, Judd and Ratts did not think this through at all. Very very disappointing but if they drop Fev I will never again join as a member (after 16 years membership and 49 years of supporting).
ReplyDeleteFevola belongs with the Carlton Football Club... He is the highest goal kicker in the league and without him on our side, we will lose major goal scores and the chance to make it to the top.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a big mistake if we trade him, I can just see him wearing the black and white stripes and that would be a nightmare!!!!
Me and eight mates all bought memberships for the first time in 2009. With such a great season there was no question of renewing in 2010. If Carlton gets rid of Fev, none of us will be renewing.
ReplyDeleteI have been a paid member for 34 years, wake up Carlton if you trade Fev, we will go backwards by up to 5 years at our next Premiership Campaign. Dont you remember what happened to Carlton with the Aaron Hamill debarcle?? We dont need to go through the bleak years again when we are finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Fev stuffed up, you fined him $10K end of story, if I remember rightly it was in his off season. And why did the Crown continue to serve alcohol to him if he was well and truly gone. Seems to be Crown Palladium serve anyone alcohol. I was at the B&F on Monday night and the waiters/waitresses tried serving my 15 year old daughter wine all night, so what chance has Fev got if an underage minor is being served freely.
ReplyDeleteNO FEV AT CARLTON 2010 - NO MEMBERSHIP FOR THE REISSMANN FAMILY
The post above me has to be a joke?
ReplyDelete"What chance has Fev got if an underage minor is being served freely?"
Uh, he's a 28 year old man who should be able to make the right decisions. Fellow Carlton supporters are blaming everyone but the one person who is at fault... FEV!!!
He's a great player, one of the best I've seen but has embarrassed this club one time too many.
No one is irreplaceable. Short term pain for long term gain. We will be a stronger club for this.
- Ken from Thomastown
Willing to back the club to the hilt on this one. They know what they're doing.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely NOT backing the club on this one!
ReplyDeleteColeman medalist.
Another club will just make an effort to pull him into line.
WE can do that AND keep the 80+ goals a season.
I'm conflicted on this. Geez I love watching him play, but rumour has it that the playing group itself is largely behind the decision to move him on. If his teammates feel that they can't play alongside him, then we really have no choice. I feel there is more to this story that we currently know. We probably won't hear the full story until after the trade is done as we don't want to reduce his trade value.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your service to the CFC Brendan, you've been a great player and loyal through some very lean years. But it appears it is time to say goodbye.
Is the Carlton mc thinking at all or has someone forgotten to pay the power bill?
ReplyDeleteOur forward line struggles enough when Fev takes on 2 or 3 forwards and now you are about to trade him???
WTF????
Think about his match winning performances that he has produced in recent years.
The ask yourself - Who else on the list can reproduce the same magic?
He has stayed loyal through all the dark years of the CFC, played a major part in us reaching our' first final in 8 years and now you're going to trade him because he made a fool of himself whilst on the AFL supplied free grog??
Think about the trade?
Gonna send him to Eddie McChins are you?
Why don't you ask for the 2010 premiership cup, gift wrap it and send it to Eddie special delivery?
Stupidest player management mistake of all-time looming here - that is what is going to be the real embarrassment for Carlton!
Don't care what he does off the ground.
ReplyDeleteAs long as he's kicking goals for Carlton and no one else.
And so should the Carlton heirarchy!
Being called "****ing s**t" on National TV is an indignity our captain doesn't deserve. Can't imagine what our sponsors think.
ReplyDeleteHow did you let it come to this Brendan. How many last chances did we give you? If only you repaid the faith that the CFC showed you over-and-over again. A sad day for our club.
it the footy show falt and channel 9 they could see he had to much and they still put a fucking cramra in front of him why wouldnt you get another player to do it, his on of the best it better for our club to have him!!!!! why cant sticks and ratten see that ?
ReplyDeleteWhy trade the one person who will help lead us to a premiership in 2010. We need someone to kick goals Carlton do you get that?
ReplyDeleteNO`FEV....NO`MEBERSHIPS
ReplyDeleteMichael Hurley bashed a taxi driver after a night on the turps nobody is saying that he should move on.
ReplyDeleteNo membership from me next year. You can jam it where the sun dont shine.
ReplyDeleteDoesnt`this`statement`count`for`anything....
ReplyDeletehttp://progress-leader.whereilive.com.au/news/story/heat-on-fev-unfair-says-casino-witness/
Please keep Fev! I haven't felt this upset about losing a player ever! I am about to move back to Melbourne after years away and am going to take out a membership with the Blues. I want to see Fev playing in a Carlton jumper next year. He's one of the most talented players in the league and we'd be mad to get rid of him. With him and Judd firing I was sure that I would see another Blues Grand Final within the next few years. But now who knows? He has made some big mistakes off field, but this is about FOOTBALL! They are, after all, a football club. Keep the Fev!
ReplyDeleteKEEEEEEEEEEEP FEVOLA!!!!! he is what makes Carlton. he is one of the best in this team. PLEASE KEEP HIM!!!!
ReplyDeleteNO DONT your gunna lose a GREAT player!!!!!! KEEEEP FEVOLA!!!!! he is gunna make Carlton get the premership!
ReplyDeletecarn the blues keep fevola!! one of the best players in the team. you cant trade him.
ReplyDeletei love fevola!!!!! keep him carlton. you boys need him!!
ReplyDeleteFev stuck with Carlton when the Blues was at their lowest. We supporters had faith in the club and knew one day we will reign as a dynamic force again and Fevola gave us supporters hope and excitment through these trying times. Please Carlton reconsider and reverse your decision and keep our Fev where he belong, with the Mighty Blues.
ReplyDeleteThere are ways to solve this proble that would be a better outcome for everyone.
ReplyDeletePlease don't give this spectacular goal kicker to another club.
We NEED him
I do not condone what Fevola did at the brownlow, however I do not think it is the end of the world or a delistable offence. I think it was just over publicised, and taken way out of proportion. Fevola is a great player, he belongs at Carlton. It breaks my heart to think he could be playing at another club next year. He has stuck with us threw out lowest times, and now that we are finally getting back on track, he deserves to be there with us.
ReplyDeleteDo not trade Fevola, Carlton is his home. Not only will Carlton have traded the coleman medalist, they will have broken their supporters hearts as well.
Fevola belongs in the navy blue.
ReplyDeleteHe should stay at Carlton, it's where he belongs.
I feel like there has been a death in the family.....pleeeeeeeeease
ReplyDeleteCarlton don't trade Fev. Stand by your man. All the fans love Fev so
much. He hasn't broken the law. He hasn't hurt anyone. he is such a good,
kind person. Pleeeeeeeease re-consider. Please please please keep Fev
at Carlton. FEV IS CARLTON. WE ALL LOVE HIM.
C'mon Carlton!!!
ReplyDeleteCFC Board should explain to us loyal members as to why they intend to Trade Fev. I believe the club is bigger than the individual but I am very sceptial as to what exactly he has done. If indeed it is unforgiveable, make us aware as to why we should Trade one of our great sons. Is it irreparable? Is there a rift? What the hell is going on? Talk to us........give the fans some sort of idea of what the hell is going on. If you can't then lets keep this superb player at Princes Park for his whole career. I can not imagine him in other colours kicking bag upon bag of goals.
Please listen to the members.......
Keep Fev at Carlton!
ReplyDeleteI see where CFC people are saying "let the club and board make the decisions" You must be joking, what a bunch of s***heads they are and look what they've done to our club for the last decade.
ReplyDeleteGranted there's been some changes in the last couple of years, but that's where the cleanout should be.
The solution: no media for Fev for a year.
I see where super-sleaze Maguire is on the sniff, so if Collingwood can support a scumbag like Didak, why can't Carlton support Fev?, sounds like Collingwood would.
I will be shattered to see Fev in another team's colours.
ReplyDeleteFev's performance on the field is quality, and surely that's what counts, isn't that what he's paid to do?
Please Carlton, keep Fevvie!
i thought footy was about winning premierships, how can we do that without fev. its a disgrace, he's a champion of the club. i wont be supporting carlton ever again if they trade him
ReplyDeleteWhat Carlton supporter doesn't walk taller when Fev flicks the switch, boots eight, and gives it to the opposition and their supporters?
ReplyDeleteAdmit it or not, Fev equals membership numbers, bums on seats and lots of No. 25 jumpers.
CFC, the Carlton members and supporters stuck by you in the dark years. Don't make us watch from the stands in dismay as the team Fev boots that eight against next year is OURS.
Stand by your man, Sticks!
Not like he drove around in a car with a bikie and shot a gun just days before the bikie killed an innocent perosn.
ReplyDeleteHitler reacts to Fevola being put up for trade http://bit.ly/1bXcns
ReplyDeleteI've just put my two boys to bed - aged 6 and 8. To say they are devastated is an understatement. They both have No 25 on their jumpers and posters of Fev on their walls. This is the way that Carlton treat their youngest fans?
ReplyDeletei love fevola and dont want to see him at another club im a truee blue and will still love carlton if they trade fev, but it will be a big loss on carltons back and they will lose a LOT of supports i think that everone makes mistakes, why cant they just suspend him for 1 or 2 games his too good to let go and ratten and sticks are stupid if they think this is right or that it is going to help the club, also if channel 9 had some respet they would not of not gave him a mic and let him do street talk!!!!!!! yer fev was a lil bit stupid BUT EVERONE IS. footy is about the game and how and what the players do ON the field, not what the players do off field if they get rid of fev i dont no whats going to happen to the footy club :( i just think ratten, judd and sticks need to think about it a little bit more
ReplyDeleteThis is the funniest bloody thing to watch and perfectly portrays the idiocy of the board - watch it on you tube and pass it on folks ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYhzHxl_HOw or search in YouTube for "Hitler reacts to Fevola being put up for trade".
ReplyDeleteChannel nine replaced Doug Hawkins with Fevola, knowing full well he is no rocket scientist, they must bare some responsibility in this as well, as Fevola and the Teams Leaders there on the night must also. He needs guidance and mentoring, he is a big kid at heart and a product of the Institution that has employed him over the years. Can anyone remember how long ago it was that we actually had a genuine full forward capable of kicing a 100 a season? Exactly...a bloody long time ago, they are rare and come along once a decade if that! Simple......BAN HIS MEDIA EXPOSURE, MONITOR AND MENTOR HIS SOCIAL ATTENDANCES AND SUPPORT HIM IN EDUCATING HIMSELF ON THE ALCAHOL AND LETS GET BACK TO THE BUSINESS OF WINNING FINALS. Since when does Carlton F.C bend to pressure of the AFL and or other clubs, we will be seen to do it right but in house...not in public. Sticks, don't forget where you plated and came from and who made you and the culture of your days as a player, support this man and show everyone why we are the Carlton Family!
ReplyDeleteDick Pratt is burning in hell for ripping off the Australian public, Fev is a dropkick, Judd is over-rated and Carlton won't make finals next year. Congratulatinos Blues, you suck again. After just one year!
ReplyDeleteYeah way to go - another Collingwood supporter going on above about Dick Pratt etc - who is only here because he couldn't spelling C O L L I N G W O O D.
ReplyDeleteGood comments above about Channel 9 - rumour has it that Eddie set the whole thing up. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest - Collingwood can't play any finals without going all wobbly - Eddie's face during the final was bright enough to start a fire and so he thought well I can really set the cat amongst the pigeons by organising that Fev gets a microphone at exactly the right time. Bloody low life.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything i have read - yes Fev is a grown man and should take responsibility for his own actions, but so should the Crown Cas for continuing to serve him, so should the people sitting at his table for allowing him to drink so much. Shame on you Channel 9 for putting that microphone in his hand and allowing him to front Street Talk - honestly, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING ? Shame on those behind the scenes at the Brownlow for allowing the camera to be on Fev when he was acting the way he was. Yes, Fev has made a mistake AGAIN but I am sure he was not the only footballer to have drunk too much in the past few weeks - difference is, all cameras are on Fev waiting for him to stuff up.
ReplyDeleteShame on you Carlton for wanting to trade him, punish him, fine him but trade him ? - Fev is CARLTON - HE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE A NAVY BLUE - i do not want to see him playing in other colours next year - makes me sick to the stomach and very very sad. Everyone wants to see Fev play out his career at the Blues, and hopefully see him play in a GF wearing the navy blue colours.
We are the navy blues, we are the old dark navy blues - stand by Fev, don't walk all over him.
Trade the Coleman Medalist - very smart Carlton - very smart !
Carlton you are a bunch of tools. Thanks for nothing. Premiership 2010 minus Fevola? I dont think so. FAIL.
ReplyDeleteTo Katie worrying about her 6 & 8yo boys with #25 on the back. Do you honestly want your boys to get the idea that if you're a decent footy player you can get away with being a binge drinking fool that goes around abusing his peers, vomiting in the middle of a casino, flailing a dildo around in front of all & sundry and beating up publicans let alone fellow employees? Enough is enough. This club is bigger than one man.
ReplyDeleteto previous blogger, I'm not relying on footy players to be prime examples for my sons!! You sound like your boys watch too much gossip media!! Good move mum!!
ReplyDeleteDon't believe all the crap your fed, via herald sun etc
Keep Fev at Carlton! At the end of the day on field he is a good role model. Off the field is his personal life and if people are concerned about the role model he is off the field then its simple dont let children watch the incidents off field. At the end of the day Fev is a champ football player and does not deserve to be traded, if anything send him to counselling. Calrton will be making a huge mistake if they get rid of him!
ReplyDeleteAnon 3.02am you miss the point entirely. What Fev did was not much different to many other footballers at suburban clubs everywhere. They are just regular guys who like a drink. Many of them are doting dads like Fevola. These are just people. Its what they do. They dont hurt anyone else. And since when has the great aussie tradition of having a few drinks with your mates been bad? The difference with Fev's antics is that the media follow him everywhere. Let anyone who is critical of him say that they have never had too many drinks. Who hasnt had a bit of a spew or done some things they regret while on the grog?
ReplyDeleteYou lost me at "Trade" carlton.
ReplyDeleteWhy dont we trade Judd instead. Pressure point? Fev might have dissed his captain at the brownlows but it wasnt without foundation. He is supposed to be a leader but he lied about a deliberate pressure point tactic. He did it in a final. If the blues had of beaten the lions the Juddster wouldnt have played. Great way to lead your club. Judd is a great player but so are murphy and gibbs. Lets trade judd instead.
ReplyDeleteIt is completely unthinkable to trade Fev. do you hear the crowds at
ReplyDeletethe footy when he does something magical? We all LOVE HIM.
How hypocritical for the board to come down so hard. he didn't do anything criminal. Kernahan went riding around drinking in the back of
a STOLEN limousine. Remember that?
We Cannot Lose Fev.
ReplyDeleteHe is my favorite, I will actually cry, Fev is one of the best players we have carlton and you know it. Lose fev gain wooden spoon.
Fev isn't the sharpest tool in the shed but he is an integral part of Carlton Football Club. The fact we are willing to wash our hands of him instead of working with him to reduce his "misdemenours" saddens me. I will find it very hard to attend matches next season if Fev isn't playing.
ReplyDeleteThis whole incident has been nothing but trial by media.
DONT LET FEV GO!!!
ReplyDeletewhy does he have to be a role model??? all we want him to do is kick goals and bring the next premiership to princess park thats his job!!!
Fev is a legend.
ReplyDeleteHis behaviour at the Brownlow was hardly unexpected... they gave a footballer a microphone on a night they are renowned for getting drunk and messy. What did the AFL expect?
He was totally set up for this.
Anyone remember those allegations about Carlton players from John Elliot? What happened to them? Nothing. It should have. This is a storm in a teacup. The media keep saying that FEV isnt a team player? Are they serious? He is one of the best team players.
ReplyDeleteForget the issue of whether or not Fev should go, for one minute. You people who are crucifying Sticks are either very, very young or have very, very short memories.
ReplyDeleteBye Bye Carlton membership for 2010 and bye bye any chance of improving on this year. This stinks, so another club is going to pick him up and get the best from him for the next few years....so unfair and I won't be spending my hard earned on membership or going to the games!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget that if all members say no then surely they have to keep Fev!
ReplyDeleteCome to the protests and petition signing this Saturday and Sunday, Visy Park at 11am so members can have a say!
No Fevola = no membership.
fevola cannot leave carlton! He is very important to us!
ReplyDeleteHes been treated like shit and if carlton want to keep the blue spirit alive they better start treating their players fairly.
None of his teammates at the brownlow cared for fev. Nor did his wife.
THEY ALL RAN AWAY FROM HIM.
they know his bad with alcohol and they could of tried getting him away from the scene.
for the people thinking "yeahh but fev shouldn't of drank, its his own fault"
ITS FEV!
like his going to refuse free alcohol.
ITS FINAL.
HE CANNOT LEAVE.
IF SO, CARLTON - YOU SHOULD FAIL IN 2010.
i dont even barrack for the blues,
ReplyDeletebut theres no way they can sack him, if they want to play finals next year they are going to need him!
carlton havent done anything to help him so theyve gotta be to blame also
We have informed the Carlton Shop and Membership that if Fev is sacked, we will not buy another thing there, we will not renew our memberships and we will boycott the sponsors. It's not a question of abandoning the club, we feel the club does not respect the members, but it's happy to take our cash. L.A. Hitchcock
ReplyDeleteI barrack for Hawthorn, but I think that Fev should stay at Carlton and shouldn't be sacked because I think that channel nine is part to blame for what happened on Brownlow night, why didn't they take the microphone and camera of him?? Because they knew it would be a ratings winner and I am sure if the camera was on alot of the other players they would of been the same, give the boy a break, they have to let their hair down some time. Carlton are screwed with him.
ReplyDeleteHow many players were drunk at the Brownlow? About all of them except for the Saints and Cats boys. Half of them were all probably more inebriated than Fev! And Fev has reason to celebrate! Coleman Medal, his mate Juddy in contention for Brownlow, he could've been alot worse. If Brendan is sacked, who's going to kick the goals? Eddie's not a tall forward, we need Krooz in the ruck, and Walker is still finding his feet!
ReplyDeleteKeep Fev, and you'll keep the supporters.
No Fev in 2010, no membership for me thanks
ReplyDeletePink...
ReplyDeleteSave the Fev.. I'm a Brisbane Lions supporter.. but come on. Fev is a best footy player on your team..
No Fev = No carlton in the finals.
Come on and keep the Fev (other wise we'll have him!)
Pink Panther, WA Brisbane Lions Supporter '09
Sam Newman gets drunk @ the Brownlow every year... No one kicks him off the Footy Show.
ReplyDeletePlus what about Mad Monday, you gonna kick, the whole team off for getting drunk and having fun!!
Fev Fan '09
What a F$*CKING DISGRACE by the blues. Thats no way to reward loyalty. Keep Fev.
ReplyDeleteRichard Pratt LOVED FEV. HE WOULD BE HORRIFIED at this betrayal by
ReplyDeletethe board of the Carlton football club. If you trade Fevola, you should
give the Pratt family their money back. Fev has been loyal to the blues
through thick and thin....even when we were losing most games, at least
we had Fev to give us some magic moments. The fans and members LOVE
FEV. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE I am begging you Carlton team management
keep Fev. It just wouldn't be the same without him.
This is a comment all the way from the States and as a Blues support since the 90's letting Fev go would be the biggest mistake Carlton could make in the last decade! What are you thinking. Go ahead toss away any chance at our run at the flag next season. And what a slap in the face if he goes to Collingwood!
ReplyDeleteWhat a big mistake. This is all sticks and ratten. They are the ones who should go. Bring back Parkin.
ReplyDeleteThis is not the Mac Bank, this is football - and the Fev is a footballer , that's what they do. No Fev, No Carlton!!!
ReplyDeleteFEV BLEEDS NAVY BLUE !!!!!!
ReplyDeletecan you imagine fevola wearing a jumper other than carlton's? This all stinks. They should be ashamed of themselves.
ReplyDeleteShame on you Carlton! You are quite happy to take on young inexperienced and immature boys and throw them into a world of fame and glory but do not properly prepare them for this drastic change in lifstyle. You have a responsibility to educate, support and at times, even rehabilitate players who go through difficult periods in their lives.
ReplyDeleteInstead you have penalised, threatened and sanctioned Fevola and now when it gets too difficult you want to remove him from the club rather than support him through personal and family councelling, education and rehabilitation.
Carlton, like other clubs are too often entrenched in old-style, conservative thinking and too eagerly opt for punitive measures when their players do the wrong thing rather than take a progressive, more holistic approach of support and education.
There is no doubt Fevola is extremely embarrassed and remorseful at what he has done and it is extremely doubtful that he would ever repeat that type of behaviour again. He is also one of four current top-line key forwards, a current All Australian and the 2009 Coleman Madalist. That combination is as rare as hens teeth and any club would be mad to trade such a player.
Deeply pissed off,
Kosta
No fev no membership!!
ReplyDeletePossibly the biggest mistake in afl history... He had a few to many to drink and got a bit silly, look at some of our other ''hero's " of the afl... Heath Shaw and Didak...Ben Cousins..but no, -all's forgiven there!!
Good one Carlton, way to split our team down the middle...
Better start polishing up the wooden spoon cupboard cause that's exactly where were headed if this one goes ahead!!
the more places we voice our opinions the better...
ReplyDeletejoin our ''KEEP FEV AT CARLTON" facebook group,
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?
gid=141826977498
have your say and invite your friends list!!
1 day down 4 to go no trade as yet - but don't let Brendan down - keep on voicing your opinion here, or on facebook at "Carlton Football Club", or on twitter at #keepFev - I feel we may yet win this war but if for one second we turn our backs those board members with a need to prove how much more important they are than the membership faithful will cut out our forward just to bloody spite us. Don't give up ever, continue the Fevolution until we know for sure. A continued effort and the understanding they will lose around 10,000 memberships if they slight us again may yet see the right thing done.
ReplyDeleteHere a player king hit and kick him while he is down by a team mate in a practice game and mind you he is still on our list and now we have one of our best Full Forward in our history trying to trade him and even willing to keep paying some of his wages, how stupid is that, besides how do we know that all this saga wasn’t planned by Eddie and channel nine so they get Fev to Collingwood for a song and I bet Collingwood won’t even play the Carlton song after they win two or three premierships with fev in the side.
ReplyDeleteIf Fev leaves the blues, its an outrage! He is a life long blue and your going to sack him over that, what has happened to footy? Just keep those sponsors happy.
ReplyDeleteAnd to keep the media happy. Fev has to stay at the blues. If he doesnt then my membership is gone. Ill sign up again when sticks and rats are gone.
ReplyDeleteI thought the navy blues were about loyalty, about never letting us down. Our team mate fev is in trouble,he's done some stupid things, havent we all.Now is not the time to turn our backs on him.Punish him yes, banish him no.
ReplyDeleteTHERE'S NO I IN TEAM CARLTON,KEEP THE FAMILY TOGETHER OR PREPARE TO SEE MORE LOSSES AND LESS SUPPORTERS.
DONT GO FEV. PLEASE DONT GO
ReplyDeleteSince when did Carlton become so frikin moral and concerned about what everyone else thinks of them. Have they forgotten their own past?
ReplyDeleteThe blues need Fev to move forward, simple as that. You cannot build a team around him for so many years then chukc him out and expect the team to just prosper. We spent so long building this, don't throw it all away now Carlton!
And not to mention the fact that Pratt loved Fev, he would never have let this happen. And what if Fevola went to Collingwood? We would be helping the worst team in the competition ever be a better team? It makes me sick. If Fevola goes then so does my membership.
Can you feel the blood running down your back? Seems like the Carlton board are just about to stab its supporters in the back see "Lions closing in on Fev" here http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/lions-closing-in-on-brendan-fevola/story-e6frf9jf-1225783885504
ReplyDeleteFev MUST stay if the Blues are to win the premiership within the next 5 years.
ReplyDeleteFev is a big drawcard. It's always a pleasure watching big Fev in action.
ReplyDeleteCan Juddy use a pressure point on his new teamate Rischetelli? Just revealed that Judd was drinking with fevola before the brownlows. Good on you Captain. Way to go in encouraging the guy.
ReplyDeleteWe dont want bradshaw or rischetelli we want the fev.
I lust love waking up to see how much our club values its supporters!!!
ReplyDeleteLets all welcome the 2010 premiers "Brisbane Lions"
Hope they enjoy all the memberships they're about to gain out of this pathetic excuse for a deal!!
Seriously Carlton...Bradshaw!!!???
You can't even compare the two!!!
SAVE THE FEV!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCarlton management, please only be doing this as a way of scare tactics for the boy, we can't afford to lose a great player like Fev!
Lord of the Fries hopes Fev stays a Blue!
ReplyDeleteGreat. Bradshaw is 30 years old. He has back problems. Anyone here remember the carlton of old? Picking up ancient players like Mick McGuane?
ReplyDeleteFev is the Coleman medalist. Enough said.
Are you guys serious. Carlton should have kicked him out years ago. The guy is a gorilla. ... Then again he is a footballer so that should not be a surprise.
ReplyDeleteonly 1 day of trade week to go...
ReplyDeletehopefully all these supposed 'deals' in the making fall through and we get to keep fev forever!
why the hell would we want bradshaw when he's half the reason we lost the elimination final last year...i admit our last quarter just plain sucked, but he scored the winning goals, so why would we want the guy who broke our spirits amongst us?
ReplyDeleteRischetelli admits that he doesnt want to play with pressure point Judd. Fevola may survive at the blues. Unless the lions come up with some other ageing star. Maybe Brad Hardie could make a comeback.
ReplyDeletewe may get to keep Fev. Be nice to see some egg on the faces of stix and rats.
ReplyDeleteIf reports just in = Fev for Henderson - Fev to Lions are true - my membership is lost to Carlton for ever.
ReplyDeleteThere goes my membership and my family's membership CU Carlton, Sticks, Ratten, pressure point Judd - scum deal now reported as done http://www.sportsentral.com/pro/main/storyreader.aspx?sid=18251&sr=all
ReplyDeleteYep they've traded Fev and I just rang Carlton Memberships on 1300 72 79 81 and told them to take me of their f*cking database.
ReplyDeleteWho the hell is henderson? we give up a key forward for this? bugger me. See you later carlton. I'll be a member again but not for the next few years.
ReplyDeleteCarlton you are a pack of nuts. Thanks Brendan for all your hard work and loyalty. We still love you. Remember that the supporters still wanted you as a Blue.
ReplyDeleteI am totally diagusted in Carlton. Ive just called them to vent my anger and say that they wont be getting my money next year. They can jam their blues are coming crap up their arses.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe after everything Brendan has done for us as a club we would just toss him out like that. And we've gone and given him to Brisbane? We've just created our own worst enemy, how is anyone meant to stop Browny, Bradshaw AND Fev?
ReplyDeleteThis is ridiculous and as a loyal supporter I feel completely and utterly betrayed by the club. There was so much support for Fev out there and the club has chosen to ignore it. Footy, when it comes down to it, is about the supporters and yet when the going gets tough, the club goes AGAINST the people that make their club what it is? It's a JOKE!
Fev has made our club what it is today, he brought back excitement and hope when we were struggling and gave us something to hope for. And now as soon as we start getting back up there we get rid of him?!?!? He helped us rebuild the club and now as we start to get the rewards (making the finals) we remove the one player that can provide part of the inspiration and talent to get us to the flag.
I will say it again, WHAT A JOKE.
Carlton, what have you done. How are we supposed to get a flag without a key forward? Did you even think about that before you made this decision. We don't have anyone to replace him! Do you realise that? Where the hell are our goals going to come from?
Thanks Carlton, thanks for ruining our dreams, I hope all these people do in fact boycott membership to show how much this has crushed us.
I also just rang Carlton and told them to sticks their membership up their ratts arse! Agree with above UTTERLY BETRAYED!!
ReplyDeleteF***ing disgusted carlton!!!
ReplyDeleteyou've just swapped an amazing coleman medalist for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...a nobody and a draft pick!!! might aswell have just given him away OH WAIT YOU DID!!!!!!!!!!!!
pathetic!!!
tell you what, if we go back to the bottom, or are losing games in 2010, you can shove my support up your ass!!!
I am sickened at the though of seeing Fev run out onto the Gabba in blue, maroon and gold, physically sickened.
ReplyDeleteWe are gone!
ReplyDeleteWe have already contacted Brisbane regarding a Lions' membership. Carlton, we are going.
ReplyDeleteI'm annoyed and we got a Raw deal. Carlton should be ashamed
ReplyDeleteI may only be fourteen years old, but I know when a legend of the game comes along. Brendan Fevola is an iconic person, and he has lifted the club for the lowest of lows and brings them to the finals. Sticks is a hypocrite, he may not have gotten drunk all the time, but four days after their grand final win, he was drunk, got up on a bar & started singing Tammy Wynette. Who does that? Carlton didn't even make a good deal, they should go sit in their rooms and cry now.
ReplyDelete"importantly the playing group or individual players were not involved in the decision, it was a matter for the club and not just an on-field issue,” Carlton president Stephen Kernahan said.
ReplyDeleteThats right idiots. Dont talk to the players about it. Kernahan you suck dogs knobs.
the players are just as devastated as the supporters...
ReplyDeletethis pathetic group of EX players who really should know better...have got their heads that far up their arses that they are willing to jepodise our entire club just to prove to themselves that they still have a bit of power!!
kernaghan, rats...i had respect for you!! past tense that is!!
i'd like to say ill never feel the same for this club...but i cant blame the players for a decision that was out of thier hands!!
managment on the other hand-has lost my support forever!!
Now the smears are starting about Fev. Maybe we should start rumors about the players when sticks was captain. Paying off girls. Remember that stephen? You tool.
ReplyDeleteWill carlton give fevola back the $10,000 it fined him after the brownlow incident? They should.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't the club think about how there supporters feel..
ReplyDeleteI hate carlton now. Im giving up my memebership and will support local footy inseatd. Will keep an eye on Fev but.
ReplyDelete
